As can be seen from the previous screenshot, Google Guaranteed adverts are placed at the very top of the page - even above the Pay-Per-Click advertising.
The advert contains a short description of the service provider and and an active phone connection link. An image can also be included.
Anyone interested in your service simply clicks on the button and speaks directly to you. Google charges per phone connection but makes no standing charge. You only pay Google for the phone conversation with your prospective new customer. If someone calls who is not genuinely enquiring about purchasing from you, (for example someone trying to sell you something) Google will refund the call fee.
There are other advantages to Google Guaranteed. The word 'guaranteed' is intended to mean that Google has vetted your company. This means fly-by-nights and ducker-and-divers will not pass the vetting process. Therefore you don't have to be concerned with lots of other companies competing with you.
Getting on Google Guaranteed can involve jumping through quite a few hoops, but it is worth it, because it filters out the companies that are not well managed and not properly run. This puts your advert in a special category.
To get the best from the process you need to work with me to sort out a few issues:
1. You need to be registered with 'Google My Business' and have a proper company profile.
2. You will need customer reviews.
3. You need to answer the customer enquiry calls (otherwise Google will notice).
4. Ideally you should have a website that is updated regularly and links to all three other aspects — your advertising campaign, Google My Business and your reviews.
In the Google Guaranteed category there will always be three adverts displayed most prominently. below these there maybe six or even ten others.
To be at the top of the top it is necessary for you to work with me to demonstrate that you (we) are taking things seriously. Google does check to see who has the best profile, who has the best website and who takes the most calls in the chosen category.
You can choose your budget and decide how many leads per week you want. As previously mentioned, it is important you take the sales calls that Google provides otherwise your advert is downgraded.
