HOW MUCH SHOULD A WEBSITE COST?
To some extent it depends what you want your website to do. A Merchant Site - one from which you wish to sell goods directly will cost more than a more general site which exists to promote your business and acts, say, as an electronc brochure.
When Marks and Spencer revamped their website it cost them £150 million!
Here's what one professional designer considers is a reasonable price:
£5,000 (7,000 dollars).
Conventional industry wisdom is that for a site that meets all six critera listed above you should budget about 5% of company turnover.
That would mean a company with a turnover as little as £50,000 should expect to pay about £2,500 annually for website and email services.
The good news is our annual charge is between £336 and £360 - so we're pretty damn cheap!!
